Today we went to up to Mooresville to spend Mother's Day Eve with Bradley's family.
We were all outside enjoying the weather and playing on the back patio when we heard an ice cream truck in the neighborhood. We grabbed some money and took off to the street to wait. Unfortunately, the ice cream truck chose not to go down to the cul-de-sac that we were on. Enter our hero, daddy! He hopped in the car and tracked down the ice cream truck and brought him to the kids, much to all of our relief. [Could you imagine the disappointment that we would have faced otherwise??]

Be sure to note Bradley's two thumbs up as he drives by.
Caleb had been told to sit on the curb while we were waiting to see if Daddy had been victorious. And he patiently waited until I told him he could get up, even after the truck was stopped beside us. I guess he wasn't going to do anything to risk his ice cream!
Yippee! Ice cream!
Decisions, decisions...
Here are all of the cousins together with their ice cream!
Ains had Dora
Luke had a Ninja Turtle (and I think Bradley was jealous)
And Caleb had Shrek (which ironically turned his mouth/face and hands orange)
I'm not sure what was said here, but it was such a sweet moment. Ains and Luke really enjoy one another's company.
Boys and their toys... and their messy faces!
We played for a bit more and there was even an impromptu batting session.

I think Mimmy won. Doesn't it look like she hit it out of the park??

The boys really seem to be playing well together these days. And here I guess they were working 'under the hood' of the big wheel.
If today was any indication of how my Mother's Day will be, it's going to be the best yet.
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
